Time to say goodbye...

Seems to be only a few days ago when I arrived in Kerala to join GVI’s project here. Time went soooo fast…
The past four months have been such an amazing experience for me, full of moments that I will never forget, full of people that will be always in my heart; the school, our adorable children, the teacher, our house, Fort Kochi, local friends, the trips, and most important the people who have made this time the most memorable experience; Ridhi and each one of the volunteers.
I am trying to think of my favorite moment and there’s no way I can chose one, but I can definitely list a few that I will never forget ( I reckon many of them will still make me laugh for a long time..)
•Kathakali: LOVE IT! every single time was such a laugh
•My birthday: ohhh When am I going to have another 600 kids singing “ May God bless you” for me again?
•Tuition time with all standards.. (have to confess that Std 5 Maths was a bit challenging for me..)
•Kevin: my special LKG boy.. Unique!
•Sister Anne: all her dedication and love she gives daily to her students and everyone in the school. And of course a few of her chit chats with us especially the moment she asked if I wanted to become a nun!?
•Giant mosquito in Thoppumpaddy. What is that?!?
•FK: Gaining the crown! We are the Queens!! No question… (Ridhi, please keep patrolling our territory!)
•Fundraising trek in Munnar… ahhh AMAZING
•Christmas at the Home of Hope: absolutely rewarding and a lovely day!
•New years in Varkala (best way to start 2011!).
Hmm.. I could keep going for ever.. I smile when I think of my time here…
I have no words to thank for every single minute that I spent in GVI Kerala and how much I am going to miss it.
Would love to leave a special thank and lots of love to Ridhi (great professional, amazing friend)
See you soon! (Maybe in Fiji?)
Love you!
Leti
